Dereje Waktola Gudicha, PhD
My current work in the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Unit of the Perinatology Research Branch is focused on modeling biomarker data, including fetal biometry and biochemical markers using longitudinal quantile regression techniques, aiming to develop nomograms that can be used to assess the risk of pregnancy complications. Rooted in my PhD experience, I have an interest in unsupervised clustering of longitudinal biomarker profiles, such as those measured using proteomic techniques, that may lead to identification of novel disease subtypes. My ability to use advanced statistical techniques and to work independently and as a part of a team make me especially suited to contribute to the mission of the PRB.
